Choose Your Family Adventure

This section covers different family scenarios such as a single parent who works full time and rents, a widow with a service dog, and a homeless man, among other types of families.

Each scenario goes over the family members, income, and information that is important when applying for Food Stamps. Each summary will include what to bring at application and renewal. You will also learn about the types of deductions each family could get that could increase their monthly Food Stamp amount and what each family should bring to get those deductions.

When you first submit a Food Stamp application or renewal form, you only have to submit an application or renewal form first. It is important to submit this form as soon as possible. I only included the other information to make the post easier to read. These are things your case manager may ask for.

You may wait until the case manager requests all other information such as identification, birth certificates, and verification. However, it is important to turn this in as soon as possible and most certainly before the deadline. Including the verification with your application or renewal is simply a way that could make it easier for you and your case manager.
